ALNY is a global, contemporary art fair where artists and galleries from around the world are invited to participate twice a year in alternative art events in NYC; one edition is catered to independents artists and will take place in Lower Manhattan in May and another edition that caters to art galleries and will take place in Chelsea. It is an incredible opportunity for artists and galleries big and small to shine a light on new and innovative works to an eager audience — and all in the world's capital of art, New York City! By holding this event twice a year, ALNY strives for accessibility and novelty, and keeps the focus on you, and the energy you bring.
NYC is a vibrant and inspiring environment that has long welcomed and nurtured artists and free-thinkers from around the world. There are over 1000 art galleries along with world-renowned art museums that attract around 6 million visitors each on a yearly basis. With its dense and diverse neighborhoods, and easily walkable streets, the city itself is an extended artwork, making it a stimulating and integral part of the Art Love New York experience.
ALNY takes place twice a year, starting May 2015. This happening is comprised of several locations within easy walking distance from each other, in downtown Manhattan so as to keep the art experience close to the pulse of the street. Another edition is designed to cater for the needs of international galleries, it will take place in Chelsea in September 2015.
ALNY is looking for fresh perspectives and innovative art from around the globe to really “wow’ New York! Our main aim is accessibility, so we welcome all contemporary artists and art galleries from New York City and elsewhere. To ensure a fair balance of recognized and lesser-known contributions, ALNY maintains a 'sliding scale' registration fee policy.
